The idea of building the astrolabe methodology comes up from experience.
During our work as consultants, we realized some clients were asking us to solve a problem, whereas, not unfrequently, we had the feeling that the real problem was quite a different one, far from what our clients had initially in mind.
Sometimes, to tell the truth, our clients were right, and the problem was adequately spotted. However, in order to implement the proper solution, the problem had to be addressing involving all levels of the organization.
Very often, issues were initially identified from a particular department, but not from a global perspective. Partial visions over the same issue generated isolated solutions but not one that would be shared by the whole organization.
Many suggestions to solve a problem die due to the lack of an integral vision.
